NO!!

Well hello yall! Hope all yall fathers had a FANTASTIC fathers day!

Since transfers last week we changed our district around a bit and because of that I am no longer the youngest missionary! We have a new missionary that everyone gets to tease now instead of me!:)

This week was kind of a crazy week. We spent 5 hours tracting yesterday in 100 degree weather! I really feel bad for the people we run into, because we really look and smell gross! BUT we are doing what we LOVE! There was one guy that opened the door, we didn't say anything and he just yells, NOOOOOOO and slams the door. That was pretty much this whole week. Which makes it really tough because they are all smiles and fun until they read our name tags and they see Jesus Christ and then they slam the door. Its hard, but it makes you realize how much Jesus Christ means to me and it just adds to my testimony of who He is!

In the process of knocking on 61 doors, in those 5 hours, we ran into 4 people that listened and were open to hearing more. We met a lady who had just walked out of the door when we knocked. She said that we were sent to here because she needed us and we invited her to church. She was so excited and said we were an answer to her prayers. When in reality she was an answer to ours. We hadn't had much luck in finding or teaching people last week and she was able to let us know we were following the spirit and let us find someone to teach.  We also ran into a man who stalked us on a golf cart after we had knocked on his door and said he wasn't interested. He said he still had things to talk to us about. We found out he is a youth minister and loves his Bible. He was so open to us and really liked what we said. The fact that he got up and found us after we had knocked on our door means a whole lot to us!

Since Sister Winkel was sick, we got to go on splits! It was actually really fun to get members more involved with the work, and get to know them more because when yall are in the hot/humid sun and knocking on doors...you learn a lot about a person.

This week has been great and I know the week to come will be too! I love yall and hope everything is going good!

Love,
Sister Ashley Durtschi
